Using Grade 3 Fraction Bars Teacher Resource Package

The third grade materials in the Fraction Bars Grades 3-4 Teacher Resource Package contain the following items in the given order:

  • 22 Reproducible Activity Sheets that reinforced concepts and skills presented in Lessons 1 through 11 of the Fraction Bars Grades 3-4 Teacher's Guide.
  • Answer sheets for the Activity Sheets.
  • Two reproducible Performance Tests that assess concepts and skills presented in the lessons.
  • Answer sheets for each Performance Test. 

There are two activity sheets for follow-up to each of the 11 Grade 3 lessons in the Fraction Bars Grades 3-4 Teacher's Guide. For example, Activity Sheets 1A and 1B follow Lesson 1; Activity Sheets 2A and 2B follow Lesson 2; etc. A complete set of answers are at the end of the 22 activity sheets.
The two performance tests for Grade 3 provide assessment for groups of lessons from the Teacher's Guide as shown by the following titles: Performance Test Grade 3 Lessons 1-6; and Performance Test Grade 3 Lessons 7-11.

 

One common practice is to have the activity sheets reproduced for each student to keep in a booklet.  If these sheets are hole punched, students can form activity sheet booklets by threading the holes with string or yarn.  Students can design covers for their booklets.

Using Grade 4 Fraction Bars Teacher Resource Package

The fourth grade materials in the Fraction Bars Grades 3-4 Teacher Resource Package contain the following items in the given order:

  • 48 Reproducible Activity Sheets that reinforced concepts and skills presented in Lessons 1 through 24 of the Fraction Bars Grades 3-4 Teacher's Guide.
  • Answer sheets for the Activity Sheets.
  • Four reproducible Performance Tests that assess concepts and skills presented in the lessons.
  • Answer sheets for each Performance Test.

There are two activity sheets for follow-up to each of the 24 Grade 4 lessons in the Fraction Bars Grades 3-4 Teacher's Guide. For example, Activity Sheets 1A and 1B follow Lesson 1; Activity Sheets 2A and 2B follow Lesson 2; etc. A complete set of answers are at the end of the 48 activity sheets.
The four Performance Tests provide assessment for groups of lessons from the Teacher's Guide as shown by the following titles: Performance Test Grade 4 Lessons 1-6; Performance Test Grade 4 Lessons 7-13; Performance Test Grade 4 Lessons 14-18; and Performance Test Grade 4 Lessons 19-24.
